It's not a scam. It's a pattern, and almost every installer in India hits it.
Why they don't pick up
- They filled the form while scrolling at night and forgot about it by morning.
- Your number shows as unknown, and people in India don't answer unknown numbers anymore.
- Three other installers already called them, and they're tired.
What actually works
Send a WhatsApp message first, within 5 minutes. Use your business name, a real photo of your team, and one easy question: "Aapka monthly bill kitna aata hai?"
Once they reply, call. Now you're not a stranger. You're the solar wale bhaiya who messaged first.
Save your number as a WhatsApp Business profile with your logo and address. A real profile gets far more replies than a plain number.
The bigger lesson
Leads don't fail because people are fake. They fail because the first touch is slow and cold. Fix the first 5 minutes and your pickup rate changes.
